Winderbold Press started as an idea many years ago. And, as is often the case with good ideas, it stayed quietly tucked away until one day —quite suddenly— it came to life. We like viewing the world through the eyes of curiosity, wonder, and humor. Our books tend to do the same.

Because whether it’s a golden afternoon in the woods, a praying mantis who takes up residence on the porch, or nine children trying to locate their shoes, we think some of the best stories are hiding in the ordinary moments of life. And good stories are worth sharing!

Through all of it, we try to remember what my grandmother used to say:
“Might as well laugh as to cry.”
